What Is The Best Domain Host ?

If you have already chosen a domain name and are familiar with website editing you might want to click here, it’ll take you directly to the review

If you are a newbie =) you can keep on reading, the following might help you!

So… in this article I have collected what I believe is the most important information that you need as a new webmaster. You will learn what a domain name is, what a domain host is, and finally I’ll give you my review on the top 10 domain hosts. By the end of this post I believe you will be able to plan and build your own website successfully! =).

What Is A Domain Name?

A domain name is a unique name that identifies a website. For example, the domain name of my website is successfulbusinessonline.org.

Each website has a domain name that serves as an address, which is used to access the website. A domain name is like a wonderful virtual piece of real estate! =)

Whenever you visit a website, the domain name appears in the address bar of the web browser. Some domain names are preceded by “www” (which is not part of the domain name), while others omit the “www” prefix. All domain names have a domain suffix, such as .com, .net, or .org.

The domain suffix helps identify the type of website the domain name represents. For example, “.com” domain names are typically used by commercial website, while “.org” websites are often used by non-profit organizations. Some domain names end with a country code, such as “.dk” (Denmark) or “.se” (Sweden), which helps identify the location and audience of the website.

Domain names are relatively cheap to register, though they must be renewed every year or every few years. The good news is that anyone can register a domain name, so you can purchase a unique domain name for your blog or website.

The bad news is that nearly all domain names with common words have already been registered. -_- Therefore, if you want to register a custom domain name, you may need to think of a creative variation. Once you decide on a domain name and register it, the name is yours until you stop renewing it. When the renewal period expires, the domain name becomes available for others to purchase.

What Is Domain Hosting?

Domain hosting refers to businesses that specialize in hosting domain names for individuals and companies. Domain hosting is frequently used synonymously with Web hosting since many domain hosting companies offer both services in one package, but domain names can be hosted by themselves or in conjunction with Website hosting, email hosting, game hosting and so on…

The web-hosting or server is much like the space that you rent out to have your business in. It’s merely the space itself. It does not include furnishings like shelves for your products, just as the web-hosting account doesn’t include a site for you to sell your products.

Without the hosting services, you won’t have a place for your files to reside, so your domain would then become like a disconnected phone number in the phone directory, and your site files would have nowhere to stay.

How To Choose Your Domain Host

Before I started working from home as a network marketer I knew nothing of domain names or domain hosting… I had no idea there were soooooo many web hosts on the internet! How do you choose one? Which one’s the best? The cheapest? The most reliable? Which one offers the best support?

I realize now how lucky I was when I started building my business, because I was spared the hard work of going through the entire net to find the best web host! You see, I am a member of an awesome community called Wealthy Affiliate and from what I can recall, I was given three of four different web hosts that they had selected for us (godaddy, 1and1, namecheap…) , and I just chose one at random (namecheap). I am very happy with it right right now and can’t be bothered looking for a different one ! lol. Especially when I did not like the one I was using before at all! (OVH)

If you’d like to visit namecheap website, click on the below logo !

But before you make your decision you might want to have to actually choose between several web hosts! =)
If you are looking for a cheap host, here are a few !

My Opinion

My opinion is that you want to start building your website and add content and not spend forever choosing a web host. You are free to review all of the ten web hosts above (and more if you are patient enough) of course, but I want to narrow it down to two that I trust are reliable ones :

  • GoDaddy > If you are just trying to claim a name fast, and don’t mind transferring it later – then GoDaddy will save you a few bucks.
  • Namecheap > If you are planning on running your website for more than 2 years
  • Wealthy Affiliate > if you want to have everything all in one place (hosting, emails, support, training, community, keyword research tool, wordpress, live chat…)

I hope this article was useful and I wish you good luck with your website! Thanks for dropping by and if you have any question or experience with a domain host, feel free to leave a comment bellow! I will be more than happy to connect!

Cheers ! =)
