List of Online Scams

It’s easier to get scammed online than to make money, there I dollar-499481_960_720said it. I’m sorry but it’s true. Making money online requires things that get-rich-quick schemes don’t : patience, determination, ethics
When I started working online I had too choices :

  • go the easy way (scams)
  • build a real business (that would take time).

I was foolish enough (at least for a while) to think I too could earn money quickly and easily  but eventually I realized this wasn’t for me. I see time and time again people who are extremely rich, doing so called MLM, talking people into joining the latest best ponzi … While they most certainly make tons of money (at the moment) I wonder how they can sleep at night?

So anyway, I got scammed a few times, realized how the get-rich-quick schemes work (you earn money on other people’s back) and decided I’d take a different path. I would build and own a real legitimate business that makes me proud and that passes the test of time. A website =)

And today I wanted to share with you a list of the worst opportunities I’ve come across over the last 14 months :

Profits25 – “Easy & Profitable to Make Money Online”

Profits25 is a ponzi hidden behind an advertising platform. They sell ad

Profits25 Scam

Profits25 Scam

coupons to their members and these coupons gain value over time if the members click on ad banners.

Members get paid, not because their clicks generate money, but because Profits25 uses the money injected into the program by the newest members. In short, the new recruits are here to ensure the recruits at the top of the pyramid a revenue.

This type of ponzi is bound to collapse once the recruitment efforts slows down and eventually stops. Little by little there aren’t enough people who join and the members start complaining about not getting paid.

The owners of the pyramid scheme will shut down the website and run away with the collected millions and probably launch a new (similar) program, under a different name.

I personally have over €13,000 on Profits25, still waiting to be paid…

Empowr – “The American Dream is for Everyone”

Empowr Scam

Empowr Scam

Empowr is still a bit of a mystery to me lol. They describe themselves as a “partnership between academia and tech entrepreneurs that’s attempting to deliver a democratized social media experience where the company is governed by its citizens”…

Basically they claim that you can earn money by sharing social status on their platform (and by recruiting new members of course).

I have tried the platform and left it : total waste of time. It’s all about recruiting people and earning commissions on their back. You are building nothing real.

FiddyShare – “Earn $50 a Click”

Fiddyshare Scam

Fiddyshare Scam

FiddyShare is just another ponzi scheme that say it’s free but in fact it isn’t. To be eligible for commissions with FiddyShare you need to purchase their product (“the marketing tools”).

In short, all Fiddyshare asks you is to 1) purchase their marketing tools ($50), so they can give you a unique affiliate link, then 2) share their website on facebook groups. Fiddyshare guarantees to pay you an unlimited amount of $50 payments for each unique click on your link…. See the pyramid scheme here?

Ultimate Cycler – “Are you Ready to Move your World?”

Ultimate Cycler Compensation Plan

Ultimate Cycler Compensation Plan

Ultimate Cycler is 2×2 cycler, a ponzi. The people who join the program last are here to pay the ones who are at the top of the organization.

Ultimate Cycler is tricky to spot for a newbie because they offer phone apps… and when there is a real product people tend to feel more confortable investing in an opportunity. But have you seen the aps? lol. I don’t want them, even for free !

Anyway, Ultimate Cycler will cost you $25 to join the matrix and be eligible for commissions. They have one of the worst and most complicated compensation plan I have ever seen online lol… and yes they require you to recruit 2 people, who will need to recruit 2 as well and so on… until there are not enough people on the planet to sustain their system lol.

Easy Profit Club – “Advertise any Website & Make Money”

EasyProfitClub Scam

EasyProfitClub Scam

Easy Profit Club is a revshare (revenue share platform) hidden behind a very bad PTC site. I have no idea who is behind it, which is never reassuring lol. They offer a free membership, which sucks because it means you are going to earn close to zero with it, and they offer 2 paid memberships ($6-$14/month) that are said to maximize your earnings.

You will (maybe) earn money by promoting EasyProfitClub of course, by clicking ad banners (paid $0.005 up to $0.01 per click) and by purchasing ad packs and sharing the revenue with the other members… It works exactly the same way as Profits25. Sooner or later there won’t be enough new members to generate a revenue.

Beon Push

BeonPush Scam

BeonPush Scam

Beon Push is a RTB (real time biding) company owned by Ferki Demirovski. To be eligible for commissions it will cost you $20 to $10,000.

Simply put, RTB refers to the automated buying and selling of online display ad space.

At BeonPush you will earn through their affiliate program (by referring other people to the program) and through rewards.

There are many things about BeonPush that screamed scam alert, such as the fact that they don’t accept paypal, you can’t join unless you are referred to the program by someone, you must invest money into the platform to be eligible for commissions…

My Ad Cubes – “High Quality Diversified Web Traffic”

My Ad Cubes Scam

My Ad Cubes Scam

My Ad Cubes is a revshare and traffic exchange website. It’s starting to get boring, describing these so called opportunities, because they all operate the same way… The money comes from the new recruits and the system is just bound to collapse.

Like any other ponzi scheme or revshare, you will need to 1) recruit people 2) buy ad packs … and pray you get a return on your investment ! =)

The Aussie Method – “Trade on the Binary Options Markets with just 1 Click”

The Aussie Method Scam

The Aussie Method Scam

The Aussie Method is a ponzi hidden behind a Binary Options software.

The owner of the Aussie Method is unknown and although joining is free, it will cost you $250 to get started.

The worst thing about the Aussie Method is that it makes people believe that they are selling you a super software that will turn you into a millionaire with binary options. However, as a trader myself, I can tell you one thing : there’s no such thing as earning money trading thanks to a software. To be a good trader, you want to learn how to trade. You want to study price action, watch economic news, practice a lot… but most certainly not rely on a software… If it were that easy to make money with binary options, we would know lol.

Update : looks like their website got shut down.

Penny Matrix – “Monthly Recurring Income of $19,659”

Penny Matrix Scam

Penny Matrix Scam

Well, as you can guess from its name, Penny Matrix is a matrice, which means it falls into the category of pyramid schemes… This ponzi hides behind an MLM business, but it really isn’t. They do sell products… but, these products are just so lame nobody would in their right mind think about buying them. The products are just a cover to make the whole business legitimate.

The owner of Penny Matrix is Michael Todd, the man behind a known scam called GoBig7.

Penny Matrix works this way : you will earn money if you recruit 2 people, who recruit 2 people, and so on… you know the story! =)

It will cost you $7 per month to be eligible for commissions and you’ll get 30 cents per sign up. So if you wanted to earn around $7000 you would have to recruit 21,000 people. Are you in? lol

Go Big 7 – “A Way to Retire in Less than 30 Days”

GoBig7 Scam

GoBig7 Scam

Go Big 7 is another ponzi created by Michael Todd. It claims to offer you a way to “retire in less than 30 days”. Lol. Right.

This “business” hides again behind a product : an advertising software. To be eligible for commissions you must recruit… 2 people lol. Sounds familiar? Get 2 people to sign up in just 2 days and if you go on like this for 30 days GoBig7 guarantees you a revenue of $19,659 ! Come on… I don’t even understand how people can fall for this.

I am not saying you can’t earn money with GoBig7. You CAN and you WILL if you accept to scam other people and to earn money from their own investment in the company… That’s between you and your conscience, I guess.

Bonofa – “The Future is Now”

Bonofa Scam

Bonofa Scam

Bonofa is a very complex business opportunity that sells communication products. They have claimed to build the largest business network called Cube7… but to this day no one has heard of this Cube7 lol.

How do you earn money? Try and guess… by recruiting lol (10% when you sign someone on your first level). There’s also the Fast Start Bonus : If someone in your personal downline recruits someone, you receive a certain percentage.

As a member you will also have to choose between three packages (starting at $299 and up to $2490…)

Bonofa has known a scandal in Libanon and they lost their trial. That’s reason enough for me not to join lol.

Conclusion

As you can see all the above scams have common patterns :

  • recruiting new members to generate a revenue share
  • not selling any product or selling a product that is really not good quality (so they can call themselves an MLM)
  • promising quick and easy riches

It’s up to you whether you want to be involved in such programs. Would you recommend a ponzi to your mom and dad? To your own children? To your significant other? To someone who is desperately in need for money?

Would you like to get scammed and for your investment to be taken from you by people at the top of a pyramid? If you can answer yes to these questions, then go ahead lol… If not, you might want to build a real business and earn money legitimately.

If you have had any experience with the above “opportunities” (whether good or bad lol), do leave a message in the comment area ; I will be more than happy to connect =)

Cheers !
